Our online shopping cart allows you to select the type of shipping desired. Select “U.S. & APO/FPO”, “Canada” or “International” as appropriate.
Because shipping charges and delivery time vary so much, The Lightning Press reserves the right to choose the appropriate cost and time effective method of shipping based upon the size of the order and shipping option.
Books will generally be shipped either USPS Priority Mail (for smaller orders) or UPS/FEDEX Ground (for larger orders). Foreign orders will generally be shipped USPS International Priority when possible. Book orders are shipped in USPS mailers or sturdy, corrugated cardboard boxes.
For Overnight Delivery, 2nd Day Air or other special shipping methods please contact us first before placing an order.
Delivery/Processing Time
Orders are generally processed and approved within 24 hours. Please allow 1-2 weeks for standard shipping within the continental U.S. and 1-3 weeks for APO/FPO orders. International orders should allow 1-6 weeks.
Smaller orders (1 – 10 books) are generally shipped in-house from our office location in Florida. Larger orders are generally shipped directly from our fulfillment center located in Ashland, Ohio 44805. All orders and inquiries, however, should be directed to us and will be handled by our in-house representatives in Florida.
APO/FPO Orders
We do ship to APO/FPO addresses, which require customs tags and clearances. APO/FPO orders should select our US & APO/FPO shipping option.
Foreign/International Orders
We offer international shipping as a service to our readers overseas in foreign countries.
A prime issue is the cost to send the books to international addresses via the U.S. Postal Service. Each book weighs approximately one pound, and unfortunately postage to overseas addresses is quite expensive. Our website charges a flat fee estimate to cover the actual international shipping and handling costs; we make no profit from the shipping. In some cases, shipping costs may exceed the estimate. If necessary, we will contact you for the additional shipping costs prior to proceeding with shipment.
Books will be generally be shipped through the U.S. Postal Service via International Priority Mail, depending on the delivery location and quantity of books ordered. Delivery time is estimated at 10-14 days to most locations.
*Note: Sales will not be made to US Treasury OFAC prohibited countries: Balkins, Belarus, Burma (Myanmar), Cote d’lvoire (Ivory Coast), Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran, Lebanon, Liberia, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Zimbabwe.
Customs fees, to include foreign and APO/FPO addresses, are the responsibility of the buyer. This applies to returned or refused shipments as well.
Preorders
Orders for pre-ordered books will be filled and shipped in the order we receive them once the books are ready for distribution. Additionally, if you order multiple titles with a pre-order, we will hold your order until we can ship all of your books together as a complete order.
