The Curtis E. LeMay Center for Doctrine Development and Education is the home of the library of US Air Force doctrine. It is organized into 3 main volumes and 29 supporting annexes that span the range of all Air Force operations.

The Air Force provides the United States with airpower. To achieve this, Air Force doctrine provides Airmen with the historically proven best practices learned through experience. These foundational basics allow us to respond more quickly to operations in today’s changing world environment, freeing commanders and planners to think about larger issues such as strategy, operational art, and objectives.

The LeMay Center does not publish hard copies of Air Force Publications. However, AFOPS2: The Air Force Operations & Planning SMARTbook, 2nd Ed. (Guide to Curtis E. LeMay Center & Joint Air Operations Doctrine), serves as a comprehensive guide to Air Force doctrine and operations and additional includes material from multiple joint publications and references.
